Half-Day Lovingkindness Meditation Retreat
Join us for a half day of lovingkindness meditation practice. Lovingkindness, or metta meditation, helps us to cultivate unconditional kindness towards all beings, including ourselves. Lovingkindness meditation can help us meet self-criticism and negative self-talk with a kinder voice; to better care for ourselves and others; to meet our experience with spaciousness and ease; to speak and act from a place of love; to cultivate forgiveness, respect, and gratitude; to break down the barriers that keep us feeling separate from one another.

The retreat will consist of guided instruction in mindfulness and lovingkindness meditation, gentle stretching and yoga (suitable/adaptable for all ages and abilities), walking meditation, periods of silent practice, and time to ask questions and discuss meditation within a supportive community. Suited for new and experienced meditators alike. Chairs and yoga mats will be provided, though you may bring a meditation cushion or bench if you prefer.
Participants are asked to keep their phones off or on silent for duration of the retreat.
There is no lunch practice period on this retreat. You may bring a snack for yourself if you like.
Please wear comfortable clothing. Bring a water bottle and anything else you might need to be comfortable.
