Cultivating Loving Presence (6-week course, in person and online)

It can be incredibly challenging to stay present while communicating with others. We can enter a communication with the best intentions and get so easily thrown off course by judgment, blame, fear, and our many familiar habitual patterns of reactivity.

In this course we will learn how to bring our meditation practice into speaking and listening to others and how to stay grounded in the body during communication; explore and get to know our own familiar blocks to listening; learn about Buddhist ethical guidelines on wise speech; practice speaking and listening in pairs during class as a mindfulness practice; and most importantly, we will explore together how we might bring an attitude of love and care into even our difficult communications.
