Coming Home to Practice: 4-Week MBSR Refresher Course
April 3, 10, 17, and 24
In this course we will work with MBSR tools and practices to renew and refresh our commitment to formal and informal daily mindfulness and meditation practice. We will examine what we learned in MBSR in light of our present life circumstances--how are these teachings showing up in our lives now? How are the practices beneficial to us now? How can we continue to deepen our practice and understanding?
This class will emphasize regularly connecting with our intentions, and cultivating an attitude of kindness, compassion, and forgiveness towards ourselves and others.
We will continue to work with the MBSR practices (body scan, awareness of breath, mindful walking, mindful movement, open awareness, mindful communication) and introduce new meditation practices as applicable to the group.
This course is open to all MBSR alumni. You are welcome to enroll regardless of when, where, or with whom you took MBSR.
If you are interested in taking this course but have not taken MBSR, you may qualify to take this course if you have a daily mindfulness meditation practice of at least 3 months.
