In this day-long mindfulness and writing retreat, we will explore how meditation can nurture creativity and allow space for one’s personal voice and deep dreams to emerge on the page. The day will consist of guided meditation, freewriting, writing prompts, sharing writing aloud, practicing deep listening, and periods of self directed writing time within a supportive atmosphere. Please bring a notebook AND a laptop (if you like to write on a laptop.)
There will be a 1 hour lunch break, during which time participants may either choose to eat lunch together mindfully, or eat and then continue to use the time for writing. Participants may bring food to IDP or pick up lunch at a nearby restaurant. Please note, we have a refrigerator but there is no microwave.
